Zoom is a unique slot machine from the Swedish slot provider Thunderkick. The first thing you might see when launching this slot machine is that it has 24 different positions where symbols can land, but that they are placed within 6 squares of 2x2 symbols. Each square works like a normal reel set, with 2 spinning reels. The reason why the reels are categorized within frames is that the special feature on Zoom is a zoom feature. During the spins a Z symbol can land within any of the 6 squares. This will cause the 4 symbols within the square to zoom in to one big symbol covering the whole square, and it will activate a re-spin. It's not exactly the same, but the game gives a feel similar to what you get when you play NetEnt's Twin Spin. There are no bonus games or free spin features on Zoom, but it's possible to get up to a total of 7 re-spins during the base game. Game features

Let's first start off by looking a bit closer at the reels on Zoom. Zoom has 24 symbol positions and 64 paylines. The 24 symbols are surrounded by 6 squares containing a total of 4 symbols each. Even though the slot pays for combinations made regardless of the squares, the squares plays a big factor in this game. I'll explain more about that in the Zoom feature text below. The paylines are a bit unusual for this machine, so I would recommend looking at the paytable to learn more about them.

Zoom has wild symbols in all the different positions and these symbols substitute for all other symbols except the Z symbols. The wilds can arrive as single symbols during the normal spins, and as 2x2 and 4x4 symbols during the re-spins. There's no free spins or bonus games on this slot machine, but it does have an interesting zoom feature that can create some pretty decent wins. The 2x2 squares can turn into a massive symbol, and if you get really lucky you can get a 4x4 combination with a super massive symbol.

Zoom feature: The zoom feature is activated when a Z lands anywhere within any of the 6 squares. This will activate a re-spin where the 2x2 spot containing the Z will be transformed to a massive symbol during that spin. It's possible to get several Z symbols during a single spin, but it will only award you with one re-spin. If one or more Z symbols appear during the re-spin, an additional re-spin is awarded. Re-spins will continue until no more Z symbols are showing up on the reels. All positions where a massive symbol has landed will also stay massive during any additional re-spins.

It's also possible to create super massive symbols, this is done by getting a Z symbol on the first 4 squares or on the 4 last squares. This will transfer the connected symbols into a super massive 4x4 symbol that will cover 66.7% of the game board. If this happens on the first 4 squares, a guaranteed win of at least 64 times 4 of a kind is awarded. If the Z symbol hits all the 6 squares it will be the 4 first squares that creates the super massive 4x4 symbol.
