Crown Gems is a slot machine developed by Reel
Time Gaming, but it's distributed online by
Barcrest. This slot has a similar game play to
Novomatic's Just
Jewels deluxe. Most of the symbols on Crown
Gems comes staked, and all symbols pay in all
directions, that means from left to right, right
to left and even in between on reel 2, 3 and 4.
It's possible to play in two ways on this slot
machine, and that can be done by the normal
spins at 10 paylines, or with one of the Hi
Roller bets at €20, €30, €40 or €50 per round.
These bets will let you play on 20, 30, 40 or 50
paylines, where the amount of paylines equals to
the bet value. Normally there's an obvious
advantage by playing the Big Bets, but since
Crown Gems doesn't have free spins or bonus
games I struggle to find any advantage. The cost
per spin will be the same related to the number
of paylines during both the base game and Hi
Roller spins. The potential maximal win on Crown
Gems is 1.000x the stake per spin, and it can be
won in both the base game and during the Hi Roller spins.

Crown Gems does not have any wild symbols, but
it features a lot of stacked symbols to spice up
the action. It also pays adjacent, this means
that you win as long as 3 or more symbols are
connected on any active payline. The top paying
symbol on Crown Gems is the crowns, but even
though they are showed as stacked on the first
reel when the game is launched, I still haven't
seen them stacked 3 after each other during any
spin. I therefore assume that the maximal win is
a combination where the crowns are paid on 2
paylines at the same time. This slot machine
doesn’t have any free spins or bonus game, but
it has a Big Bet option named Hi Roller bets.
Big Bet feature: The Hi Roller bets that
can be bought on this slot let you buy a series
of 5 spins for €20, €30, €40 or €50. During
these spins the amount of paylines are increased
from the normal 10 to 20, 30, 40 or 50 depending
on the bet size. Big Bets are normally played on
a lower bet per line than normal spins and have
an advantage that gives you more frequent
bonuses or extra symbols, but as far as I can
see there's nothing special given on this slot,
and the bet size equals to the same as the
normal spins. But the paytable says that the Hi
Roller bets have a higher RTP, so there might be
that Hi Roller spins are played on a slightly
different reel set to increase the amount of
wins you get.
