Ghost Pirates is a pirate themed slot machine
from the Swedish slot provider Net
Entertainment. It's been rumored that Net Ent
tried to strike a deal with Disney which owns
the rights for the popular title Pirates of the
Caribbean, but that this deal went south in at a
late stage. Take a look at the game logo, then
have a look at the official Pirates of the
Caribbean logo, and you should see that it's
almost identical. Ghost Pirates turned out to be
a really good slot anyway, and it's one of my
old favorites from the Net Entertainment
universe. The main feature on this slot machine
is the free spin mode, but it's also cool that
you win as long as you have 2 or 3 of a kind or
better combinations starting on the first reel.

First of all, I would like to quickly explain
the 243 ways feature on this this slot. This
basically means that as long as you have a
winning combination in succession starting on
reel number one, you will win. 243 is the number
of different positions a 5 of a kind combination
might land in on a reel set with 3 symbols and 5
reels. Ghost Pirates has wild symbols on reel 2
and 4, these symbols substitute for all other
symbols including the scatter symbols. There is
a free spin feature on this slot machine, and
during it all wins are multiplied.
Free spins: The free spin feature on this
slot is triggered by getting 3 or more scatter
symbols from left to right starting on reel
number 1. 3 symbols reward you with 10 free
spins, 4 symbols increase it to 15 spins, while
5 scatters give you 20 free spins. What's quite
unique is that the wild symbols on reel 2 and 4
also substitute for the scatter symbols, so a
combination of scatters on reel 1 and 3 and a
wild symbol on reel 2 will trigger the free
