What is hit frequency?
Hit frequency is the amount of wins you can expect to win per spin. If a hit frequency is set to 33.33% you will win a win every third spin on average. The higher hit frequency a game have, the easier it is to get a winning combination on a payline for that game. Many people think that a higher hit frequency means higher payouts, this is not correct. It only tells you how frequent wins you can expect in the long run. A slot with a low hit frequency usually gives out bigger wins when you first win, while a slot with higher hit frequency normally gives out lower wins when you win.

In this section I try to highlight the importance of hit frequency when you play the Casino Challenge, as just a small difference in percentage means a lot in the long run. In the below examples you can read the formulas you need to use to calculate the correct results and I've made a few examples were I've used 30%, 48%, 50% and 52% as examples of different hit frequency's.

30% - 5 wins in a row
0,30*0,30*0,30*0,30*0,30 = 0,00243
1/0,00243 = 411

You will need a average of 411 spins to make 5 wins in a row.

48% - 5 wins in a row
0,48*0,48*0,48*0,48*0,48 = 0,02548
1/0,02548 = 39

You will need a average of 39 spins to make 5 wins in a row.

50% - 5 wins in a row
0,50*0,50*0,50*0,50*0,50 = 0,03125
1/0,03125 = 32
You will need a average of 32 spins to make 5 wins in a row.

52% - 5 wins in a row
0,52*0,52*0,52*0,52*0,52 = 0,03802
1/0,03802 = 26

You will need a average of 26 spins to make 5 wins in a row.

30% - 400 wins
1/0,30 = 3,33333
400*3,33333 = 1.333

You will need a average of 1.333 spins to make 400 wins.

48% - 400 wins
1/0,48 = 2,08333
400*2,08333 = 833

You will need a average of 833 spins to make 400 wins.

50% - 400 wins
1/0,50 = 2,00000
400*2,00000 = 800

You will need a average of 800 spins to make 400 wins.

52% - 400 wins
1/0,52 = 1,92307
400*1,92307 = 769
You will need a average of 769 spins to make 400 wins.

Summary
If you play the Casino Challenge on slots that have a low hit frequency you are most likely never going to have a chance. So it might be a good idea to stick to the slots that Casumo is recommending in the power bar under the slots. These slots are the slots from Net Entertainment with the highest Hit Frequency!
